Märklin 45707 - Southern Pacific Caboose

The Southern Pacific caboose that finishes the train: no. 899 in chestnut brown with the centre roof cupola the crew watched the train from. Frame and floor are metal, the trucks carry special wheel sets, and the end platforms have working-style hand brakes at both ends. Roof walkways, steps and brake rigging are applied as separate parts, and the couplers are replaceable. Modelled in Era III condition, around 1948, to match the Berkshire and the Southern Pacific freight car set.
