Märklin 45667 - Southern Pacific Freight Car Set (5 cars)

A five-car Southern Pacific freight consist as it would have run around 1948: two single-door boxcars, two double-door automobile boxcars and one tank car. The boxcar doors actually slide open. Roof walkways, access ladders and the brake gear are applied as separate parts rather than moulded in, and each car rides on a metal frame and floor with finely detailed trucks, which keeps the centre of gravity low and the running smooth. Couplers are replaceable, and alternative wheel sets are available if you need NEM or RP25 profiles. Together the five cars make up about 76 cm of train - a complete, prototypical rake straight out of one box.
